Research & Development

The first socioeconomic baseline survey was conducted by TATU Project in Msitu wa Tembo and Londoto from May to July, 2014. The survey reached 264 households (almost 1500 people) to gather information about the top 5 problem areas of Msitu wa Tembo and Londoto (water, marginalization, education, environment and health). Information was gathered in many fields of interest spanning from demographic and economic data to healthcare coverage and perception of community problems.

The purpose of this baseline was to give TATU Project and other interested parties a holistic view of Msitu wa Tembo and Londoto so that individuals, organizations and the government can work in identified areas to bring about development and growth in the village. This baseline is also the primary tool for measuring our work in the community.
