In the surveys conducted in 2014 and 2019, we found out that one of the greatest challenges for the community is the environment degradation. Desertification aggravates the effect of drought and floods, that affect agriculture, main economic activity. 

From 2020, TATU Project introduces GREEN Project, leading to a sustainable process and continuous for tree planting, involving schools and other members of the community. This includes the development of a tree nursery in the secondary school (thanks to our collaboration with OMAWA) and planting and follow up of the seedlings in primary schools among other places.

Meanwhile, Environment clubs in schools tackle other problems related to it, including workshops and campaigns for a better trash management in the community.
