Msitu Wa Tembo – Visit Our Projects
A community of approximately 6,500 inhabitants in northern Tanzania, Msitu wa Tembo is surrounded by the “Blue Mountains”, a chain of mountains where mining occurs. It sits south of the land cultivated by the TPC Company, the largest sugar cane estate in Tanzania.
The community is composed of people of various tribes: Maasai, Mpare, Mchagga, Mwarusha, Meru, and more. The diverse community is formed from years of family migrations and the shifting of older settlements. Come see how, through years of common history, the coexistence of different cultures, traditions and religions has become the natural way of life.
During your visit to the community you can enjoy an authentic local experience. You can choose to travel using public transportation (known as a dala-dala) or using a private car. From there you’ll be able to learn all about our projects and learn what daily life is like in Msitu wa Tembo.
